Neuro-linguistic Programming

By using NLP, clients can develop effective communication and self-awareness to learn new behaviours and adapt those behaviours to create the outcomes they choose.

NLP is based on several principles.
• Firstly, NLP argues that people are not their behaviour. Accept the person, and the behaviour can be changed.
• Secondly, people already possess everything they need to succeed and to achieve their outcomes and that they simply need to learn how to unlock them.
• Thirdly, NLP is based on the notion that the success of communication is based on the response you get. As you learn to communicate better, the world will respond to you better than before.
• Finally, clients are in charge of their minds, and therefore their lives.
These principles give clients respect, the power and choice to develop their own journey, and the belief that all change is possible and within their grasp if they really want it.

SF Coaching employs questions that focus and refocus the coaching sessions on solutions, clients’ strengths and on the future. The questions help to clarify clients’ coping strategies to highlight transferable skills.

SF techniques are designed to explore exceptions to negative evaluations of situations or skills. They help create a picture of the client’s ideal future and consider the aspects of this picture that they have already attained and those that are within reach.

Positive changes can take place quickly and usually over the course of a few sessions, clients have learned a different way of thinking about their lives, their challenges and how to focus on solutions.

Transactional Analysis (TA)

In coaching, clients usually realise that their pattern of thinking, feeling and behaviour is not as effective now as it might have been in previous situations and that a change would be beneficial.

TA is a practical theory of personality, communication and systems. It provides clients with concepts to understand who they are and how to change their patterns of behaviour. The goal of TA is to increase awareness, spontaneity and the capacity to build strong relationships.
